The battery the 3DS SHOULD of had!
I brought this prior to goin on holiday, as the 3 - 4 hour life of the standard battery would barely see me through to the airport! With this I could play Zelda the entire trip, keep my streetpass going around the airport (Only 1 hit, guess others didn't have the reassurances of an extended battery!) and still didn't need to charge the battery till my 2nd day of holiday. Great!
This easily doubles the lifespan, and means you can confidently walk around with everything turned on and maxed out.
Installing the new battery was very quick and easy. It does add a bit of weight and size, but I found it more comfortable to hold with the added width and the little grooves for your fingertips. However the 3DS struggles to fit in my carry case now, it's a bit snug!
A slight dissapointment is that the 3DS tips over backwards if placed on a flat surface with the lid open, but how often would you really play like that?!
Charging takes slightly longer than the standard battery and uses the original lead (but not the charging station). The 3DS still knows when to stop charging itself! The battery life indicator works as normal and even when you have 1 or 2 bars left, you still have plenty of gaming time left, rather than the sudden drop off that happens with the original battery.
Overall this is an ESSENTIAL purchase for any 3DS owner. It makes the console what it should've been from the beginning. I only found it to buy in the UK from this site and found them very quick and reliable.
Buy it!

Exactly what the 3DS should have been supplied with in the first place!
As any owner of the Nintendo 3DS knows, there is one indisputable failing that it has, and that's the life of the supplied battery. Even on fairly low settings, the stock battery only lasts around four hours at best. However, the PowerPak+ changes that for the better, and delivers the experience that the 3DS should have been able to provide right out of the box. I was delighted to be able to find it being sold by GamingZap - at the time of writing, they seem to be the only UK retailer who carries this product, with even some of the biggest retailers in the country offering less-convenient clip-on battery-recharging packs.
Unlike some of the other 3DS battery solutions on the market, the PowerPak+ is a true replacement battery, as opposed to a glorified snap-on charger with a separate internal battery. Accordingly, you have to remove the back panel and original battery of your 3DS in order to fit the new one.
Fitting is done using a supplied screwdriver, which - whilst tiny and very, very cute - is unfortunately very difficult to get any leverage with due to its small size. You may find that you need to fashion a larger makeshift handle in order to actually make it usable, and to avoid stripping the heads of the screws on the back-panel of your 3DS.
One important thing to note is that the 3DS will lose its setting for the date and time after you change the battery, which will cause issues with the system's Activity Log. You need to correct this as soon as you power the system back on.
The battery-pack is well-made, and has a nice rubberised surface. Coupled with the fact that it adds a bit of extra thickness to the 3DS (taking it up to roughly the depth of the original model of the Nintendo DS), it makes the system much nicer to hold once fitted, which is a nice bonus. It only comes in one colour, which is a slightly off-black shade - I suspect that it won't match a blue 3DS particularly well, but of course, this does not affect its function.
After fitting the battery, I found that with the 3DS' brightness set to 2, Power Saving mode on, wireless off except when required, and the 3D effect permanently on, it's possible to get almost eight hours of gameplay out of Nyko's offering (it's a bit more if you're just playing DS Game Cards, or DSiWare games downloaded from the eShop).
Charging is done using the Nintendo 3DS' own power adapter, plugged into the 3DS directly. You will be unable to use the 3DS' dock once this battery has been fitted, but the PowerPak+ is also available in a second package which includes a dock specific to this battery-pack, if you prefer that solution (in that case, you simply plug your Nintendo 3DS charger into the replacement dock, and use that instead of the one supplied with the 3DS).
The time that it takes to charge seems to be around four hours, which is exactly the same time that it takes to charge an original-model Nintendo DS or a DS Lite, so thankfully it's not a huge change from the three hours that the 3DS' stock battery requires.
All in all, I'd have to say that this is the sort of battery that the Nintendo 3DS should have been supplied with in the first place, as it allows you to get the best not only out of the system itself, but also out of the social functions like StreetPass, which require you to have the system in sleep mode but with wireless communications left active. It's a LOT more fun this way, and I can only conclude that this is an essential buy for all Nintendo 3DS owners - after all, who doesn't want to get the best out of their new system?

This item is a Godsend, it not only makes you 3DS battery last a few hours longer, it also has a comfy grip. Perfect for playing on a bus, or a train, or a long car journey.
This item is so awesome that I recommended it to several of my friends, they all bought it and agreed it was the best battery they had ever purchased.
It comes with a mini screwdriver and easy instructions, I was able to replace my normal 3DS battery with this one, at 3 in the morning, drunk out of my skull.
If you plan on playing Mario Kart 7 and Animal Crossing all night with your bros. I highly recommend this battery, it's cheap and provides satisfactory extra battery life.

An energizing buy
This product is the battery that the 3ds should have been provided with! I can finally rescue zelda and satisfy mr williams in full 3d without being plugged into the wall! It does double the playtime and installation is quick and easy! Gaming zap is really doing a service by being the only place in the uk to provide this! Delivery was also very quick arriving the day after my 3ds and the day before my holiday which was very handy!

Great investment
Little bit pricey, but this is about the only place you'll find them in the UK, I don't believe they got an official release here, so good luck finding a better price. It adds some bulk to the 3DS, but it's not even as large as the original model DS, and with battery saving enabled, I regularly get 8-9 hours of 3D fullbrightness gaming out of my machine, which is far better than the default battery where 3 hours is pushing it. Pretty much an essential purchase.

Nyko Powers Through Once Again
The nintendo 3ds a great gaming machine no doubt about it, theres just one problem Nintendo like so many companys forgot to put a battery in there fantastic new product that actually lasts more than a few hours! 2hrs 50mins with 3d on and the screen brightness set to 4 (out of 5) thats just not good enough! Enter Nyko a respected 3rd party peripheral maker with yet another great product the Power Pak+. So why buy this product? Because you know your getting a good quality product from Nyko and unlike Nintendo over estimating there battery Nyko if anything have under estimated theres as it lasts longer than double with a solid 6hrs possibly as its lithium polymer as oppose to lithium ion as with the original 3ds battery so its a higher quality grade battery not just twice as big.Personally i highly recommend this battery as the price is great and gamingzap are the only UK supplier of this product that i could find with super fast delivery so seriously just buy one already! You wont regret it.

Does everything it claims to do
Almost twice the battery life of the standard 3DS battery while leaving the 3DS still easily pocketable.
It also adds a little more bulk to the 3DS (though not as much as I expected) which is helpful for people like me who struggle to hold smaller gadgets comfortably. I find the 3DS more comfortable with this battery than before.
My only gripe is that I wish they hadn't shaped the edges of the battery so much. It makes it quite a bit smaller than the bottom of the 3DS which means the battery could have been bigger, plus it feels less stable when sat on a table. It also would have felt even more comfortable holding the 3DS had it been the full width of the old bottom panel.
