Great Product
I love this product - everyone knows the 3DS Battery life is poor out-of-the-box, but the Nyko 3DS Battery/Base solves this issue. Battery life is almost doubled and it's so easy to install. The charge base is also really great and looks/operates loads better than the standard Nintendo one that the 3DS comes with.

Excellent
Does exactly what it says on the tin, couldn't be more impressed - easily doubles the battery life. Also adds a little bulk, making the system more comfortable to hold, in my opinion. Furthermore, the service was superb. Although the product was out of stock when I ordered it, as soon as it was in stock, I recieved an e-mail letting me know it'd been dispatched, and it arrived the next morning - just in time to go on holiday with it! In short, if you own a 3DS, buy this!

Great Product
I love this product - everyone knows the 3DS Battery life is poor out-of-the-box, but the Nyko 3DS Battery/Base solves this issue. Battery life is almost doubled and it's so easy to install. The charge base is also really great and looks/operates loads better than the standard Nintendo one that the 3DS comes with.

Soft, strong, and very very long
This battery is, as so many people say, what the 3DS should have been supplied with in the first place.
The battery itself is good and sturdy, and covered with a soft rubberised coating which aids in grippiness. It also has two finger-rests sculpted into the back.
It's a little bit difficult to remove the old battery with the included (very tiny) screwdriver, at first, but once you manage to loosen the screws it's fine. However, do make sure to store your 3DS' backplate somewhere safe (you need to remove it completely in order to install this battery), as it details your unit's serial number, which you will need if you ever have any problems with it, or need to delete your eShop account! (You can't go far wrong in storing the stock battery safely as well, of course.)
The battery - and dock - are used with the 3DS' own power-adapter, much the same as the 3DS' own dock (which cannot be used with this battery-pack) is. If you're away from the dock, the battery can be charged by plugging the 3DS unit into its adapter as normal. It does take a couple more hours to charge than the stock battery (so, it takes about five or so hours to charge the Nyko pack), but leaving the machine to charge overnight will take care of this. This is even more convenient with the dock, of course!
A fully-charged example of this battery will double your runtime. If you use the second screen brightness setting, with "Power Saving Mode" activated, and the 3D effect and the wireless permanently on, you'll get about eight hours out of it for 3DS games - or an entire week-and-a-bit in sleep mode. If you have the 3D and wireless off, you can expect to get a bit longer than this!
Considering how much this battery-pack adds to the Nintendo 3DS experience, it's excellent value for money, and well worth every penny. Thanks, GamingZap!

Cracking piece of kit
Well I got mine next day despite only ordering it with normal post. Charged it up and then using the very handy little screwdriver supplied, added it to my 3DS. The cradle is idiot proof, you just plonk your 3DS on it and push the button, then the light tells you when it's done, simples. Although it's added a little extra bulk to the 3DS it's not huge difference and I can still get it in my Executive case (I did have to take off the tiny "feet" on the bottom though) It's a tight fit but the leather will no doubt flex a little over time freeing it up a bit. It's even made handling it easier with that little extra width giving a better grip. Overall I'm exceptionally pleased with it, and all it needs now are some long winded testing sessions.

Excellent product
The Nyko Nintendo 3DS Battery and Charge Base Bundle really makes the 3DS the console it should have been, it improves the battery life by quite a lot.
In the first week i only charged it the once and that was when i first installed it and easily got over 10 hours of gaming from that charge. Add to that the fact that it feels much better in my hands now i certainly don't regret the purchase, just a shame Nintendo didn't make the 3DS battery life longer in the first place.

The perfect thing for a 3DS
1st, the delivery to the states was less than a week, which is great in my book. 2nd, the battery does not add much weight, but does add a little bulk, but that is greatly diminished by the fact that you can double your play time on the 3DS. 3rd the charge base is definitely better than the old one as you can just place it in instead of putting one end in first. 4th installation is extremely easy, even if your a first timer at working with computer parts. just unscrew the back, remove, and replace. 5th, with the added bulk of the battery, the 3ds can fit larger hands more easily. This is a must have for anyone who is a serious gamer or bringing a 3DS on a long trip.

A 3DS Necessity
First of all, the charge base itself is elegant and most certainly a technical updgrade from the standard cradle. It illuminates your room in arrays of red, green and blue according to the charge status of your 3ds. But most importantly is the battery pak, which without doubt reastablishes the 3ds battery life with that of previous models! All in all this is a must have for all 3ds owners especially ones travelling on holiday and needing more than the standard 4 hours of gameplay time available. And with Gamingzap one of the few places to get this from in the UK, it'd be a crime to ignore this one!

definite buy
Came within two days and gamingzap are the only people in the UK who stock it.
I managed to get 6 hours from it playing with 3d on full, wireless on full sound on and brightness at full compared to the stock battery which was around 2 and a half hours. the charge base looks pretty cool with the glow it produces. definite buy for any 3ds owners.

Awesomeness
I would reccomend this product to anyone who owns a 3DS and hate the battery life. It not only seems to have full battery for hours it doesn't feel any heavier or uncomfortable. The lights are pretty awesome aswell :D There is a small comment I would make about it... it may only be me but the cradle takes forever and a day to charge it up (whereas plugging it into the normal recharger is probebly as fast as without the battery pack). Easy to install (makes you feel special opening a 3DS) comfortable and light weight, nice design (if you have a black 3DS...I don't...I now hate my life and want to swap it...though thats not happening to warranty expiry) near suicide by this point hehe. But overall a great product that allows games at full brightness, sound and 3D for hours on end.

Best thing you can buy for your 3DS.
The quality of the product is top notch.
The dock is vastly superior to the 3DS' own, but if you're not a fan of docks the battery doesn't need it to be charged. Because basically, it's a replacement battery, so you still can charge it with the 3DS mains charger supplied with all new 3DS systems.
And double the play time doesn't come at double the charge time. While it does take longer to charge than the original battery, the original battery takes 3 hours 20 (I don't care what the 3DS’ manual says, I've timed it with 3 systems charging at once and all were done after 3 hours and 20 minutes) whereas the Nyko takes 5 hours 40.
The weight it adds is the only place where people will have a problem, I personally prefer it because I hated how light the 3DS felt and the slippery back cover made it a worry that I'd one day drop it. Now it's a better fit for my hands with added grip (It's not plastic) and comfort (Especially when using the shoulder buttons a lot on game like Ridge Racer) and the weight feels right too.
Also using GamingZap I had it less than 24 hours after I'd ordered it so I could whack it straight in.
That’s also helped by how easy it is to do, it comes with a mini screwdriver and some spare screws and washers. The battery itself has 4 screws and washers already attached though so all you do is carefully loosen the 4 screws on the 3DS' original back cover, pop the cover off (Which all of this is in the illustrated manual that comes with the battery) take the battery out and then insert the new one, tighten it up and bam, good to go.
In short, for £30, you're getting something that should be standard with all 3DS units. Nintendo dropped the ball in this area and thankfully Nyko picked it up for them.
